At Home Before at Home was a Thing

I have been working with Trish doing promotional cards and signage for her Bondi Wax Salon in Fulham for years. Before lockdown she had this idea for an IPL product-based business to supplement the salon. I was quick to get involved in her start-up, creating a logo featuring ‘@home’ and packaging for her first product, Bondi Laser. This was in 2019 before ‘@home’ became such a huge trend. Early entry in to the market meant she was quick to launch Bondi Beauty @home Cryo Sticks — learning how the product worked so that I could do the instructional illustrations was fascinating. 

Inspired by Bondi Beach

She wanted everything for her new venture to follow on from the salon, be clean and minimal, and have the beach in mind. We developed a colour palette and selected typefaces. It was really the right timing. ‘@home’ products really took off with the closing of salons and Bondi Laser started getting a lot of press — more than the logos shown on the initial web site design featured below.

Overarching Brand

With the success of all these she combined them into an overarching brand, Bondi Body.

A User Guide in Six Languages

We started by adapting the original folded A4 instruction sheet to a more visually branded piece with textured paper that sat so beautifully on the top of the product. That along with travel bag all in matching colours really enhanced the unboxing experience. Now the market has grown and we’ve taken it one step further and have created a 48 page A5 user guide in six languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Arabic).
